Dana / Generosity Offering

Dana is an ancient Buddhist practice that means generosity. A retreat taught on generosity is offered at cost and the teacher receives no payment in advance for their teaching. The hope is that this will create a bounty that can be used to make retreats as accessible as possible to as many as possible.

It is not a tip or in place of wages. Nor is it important that you compete with others. Give where you are at with your generosity practice to support the growing, queer-centered community of practice at the Bellingham Queer Collective. Trust and be secure in knowing what is generous and sustainable for you. Many of you already give the generous gift of your time as volunteers in our practice community by being greeters for the event or helping with setup and cleanup of the retreat. This is also a form of Dana. Thanks for all your support in all the ways.
