This 4-week 1.5 hour-long introduction to mindfulness in the caretaking relationship is an invitation to parents, caregivers, and educators to explore the fundamentals of present-moment awareness in the caretaking relationship. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in practices such as group dialog, mindful movement, and breath awareness in order to cultivate inner resources. The habits of mind that are built through these practices can be drawn upon when stress arises in the relationships between adults and children. Formal practice of mindful awareness reduces caregiving stress and strengthen adult - child relationships.
